Dejected player from the Netherlands

Arie Werksma from the Netherlands is an expert chess player at the Internet Chess Club. In the game you see below, he disconnected and forfeited against a USA player with a much lower rating. Werksma did not notice that his f3 Knight was hanging due to a pin of the g2 pawn by the Black Queen.

So rather than resign like a man, the Dutch player disconnected from the Blitzen interface gnashing his teeth and cursing into the humid night air of his below sea level homeland. If he only knew how much sweeter that made the victory for the weaker American player!

Mr Werksma censors players who beat him. Maybe he should noplay them as well so he will avoid the humiliation of being dominated by lower rater players.

  1. Pozarek is another diamond in the rough. He once told me that losing to me is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to him in chess, but HE IS THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO HIS POOR PARENTS!!!

I think the Executive Director of The Kansas City Chess Club has had run ins with this pathetic human. 3 cheers for exemplary chess coach IM Ibro Saric

  3. Your boy Arie Werksma is sort of famous in Lubbock Texas and for outstanding resistance and fight he demonstrated in his battle against countryman Jan Timman. Arie had the hots for a Tech cheerleader named Kelsey

  4. New in Chess content producer Peter Doggers knows more about this, but would probably be reluctant to comment or share
